The Geometric Baseline
The Geometric Baseline (TGB) is an evidence-first technical research and publication project focused on understanding complex products and systems well enough to make better decisions about them.
TGB is not a conventional review outlet and does not treat popularity, military adoption, price, rarity, or marketing claims as substitutes for evidence.
The project focuses on:
- mechanism-level understanding;
- comparison of competing engineering approaches;
- explicit separation of observation, manufacturer claim, patent/design evidence, independent measurement, inference, and unresolved uncertainty;
- identifying the smallest missing fact that could materially change a conclusion;
- translating technical findings into decision-relevant explanations.
When manufacturer or designer clarification is needed, TGB seeks narrow, attributable technical answers and preserves those answers as manufacturer/designer evidence unless independently verified.
The goal is not to manufacture certainty. The goal is to make the reasoning visible, preserve uncertainty honestly, and improve the quality of technical decisions.
